Because who has time for all this dinner business every night????

Listen, we all have entirely too much of life going on at all times, right? This Sheet Pan Sausage and Broccoli Pasta has a 5-minute prep time and cooks in just 30. If I must say so myself, Rachel Ray would be proud. Because when you’re juggling a million things and your dinner needs to be both easy and delicious, this dish is your new best friend.

Easily Adjustable Recipe..

Got picky, adventurous, or just plain “meh” eaters at home? No worries—this Sheet Pan Sausage and Broccoli Pasta has you covered! I go with pork Kielbasa because, let’s face it, my kids’ taste buds are as picky as they come. But if you’re craving a little kick, spicy Italian sausage is a game-changer for those who can handle the heat. Feel free to toss in extra veggies like zucchini, squash, or Brussels sprouts; just make sure to keep the tomatoes in the mix. Their juicy goodness transforms into a flavorful “sauce” that perfectly coats your pasta. So go ahead, customize away and make everyone at the table happy—even the gremlins!

Are you on a Keto or Low-Carb Diet??

Craving a flavorful dinner without the carb overload? Swap out the pasta for cauliflower rice and you’ve got a low-carb feast that’s still packed with flavor! Just microwave a bag of cauliflower rice, mix it in with the sausage, broccoli, and tomatoes, and voilà—dinner’s served. It’s so tasty, you’ll forget you’re even skipping the carbs. Plus, no guilt, just pure, delicious satisfaction. Perfect for those nights when you want to indulge without the bulge!

The Method…

  1. Start by pre-heating your oven to 400 and put a large pot of water on the stove to boil.
  2. Dice the onion, slice the sausage and mince your garlic!
  3. In this step you can use the clean or messy version. My version is the messy version. I throw all of my ingredients (except the pasta) onto the sheet pan and drizzle the evoo over the top. Next, I roll up my sleeves and use my hands to mix everything together. I would rather wash my hands than another dish haha. But another easy way, you could put your ingredients into a large bowl and stir. Then pour the mixture onto your sheet pan!
  4. Salt your boiling water, add the pasta and cook following instructions. Drain your pasta and return it to the pot.
  5. The sheet pan will take about 30-35 minutes to cook. This way you’re vegetables are tender and roasted while your tomatoes have exploded!
  6. Pour the entire sheet pan, juices and all, into the pot with the pasta. I add another pinch of salt and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. I always have fresh basil growing so I do pick a handful of leaves, tear them up and throw them in as well. Give it all a good mix and you’re done!

Ingredients

  • 1 12-14oz sausage sliced around 1/2 in thick. You don't want the slices too thin. I used kielbasa because that's what my kids like but any type of sausage you have will work (not ground)
  • 1 lb pasta I used cellentani but whatever you have on hand will do!
  • 1 small Onion diced
  • 2 pints cherry tomatoes maybe even 3, the more the merrier
  • 1 head broccoli large
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbs oregano
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbs evoo

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 °F
  • Put a large pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil
  • Dice the onion, mince your garlic & slice your kielbasa
  • On a sheet pan dump your sausage, broccoli, tomatoes, onion, garlic, seasonings and evoo
  • Mix it all together! It's easiest to roll up your sleeves and mix it with your hands. If you would rather, stir it all together in a bowl first and pour onto your sheet pan for clean hands.
  • Put the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes
  • While everything bakes cook your pasta as per the instructions and always remember to salt your boiling water before putting your pasta in!
  • Drain your pasta and put it back into the pot
  • When your sheet pan is done, pour the entire mixture into the pot with the pasta
  • Now add a pinch of salt, sprinkle of parmesan cheese if desired, and some fresh garlic if you have it!
  • Give the mixture a big stir and enjoy!
